Caravan Awning Roof Rafters

Caravan Awning Rafters

One of the key features of awning rafters is their adjustable length, allowing you to customise them according to the length of your specific awning. Once adjusted, the rafters can be easily inserted into a designated hole located in the awning barrel.

This adjustment secures the position of the awning and creates an upward force that slightly lifts the canvas awning. The lifting action maintains the awning's tautness, ensuring it remains in good shape, but also prevents water accumulation that might otherwise lead to sagging or damage when it’s raining.

Caravan awning rafters are a necessary accessory if you’re looking to extend the life and effectiveness of your caravan awning, providing protection and structural support against the elements.

Benefits of Using Caravan Awning Rafters

Caravan awning rafters provide stability and support to your awning, ensuring it stands strong against various weather conditions. Their main benefit is preventing your canvas awning from flapping in the wind, which can cause wear and tear over time. By holding the awning taut, rafters effectively stretch the canvas, and so reduce the risk of water pooling during rainfall. This feature not only enhances the longevity of your awning but also ensures it remains functional and visually appealing.

Additionally, rafters are often paired with anti-flap kits that are secured to the sides of the awning. The combination of rafters and anti-flap kits creates a robust support system that significantly improves comfort during your caravan stops, especially in adverse weather. This synergy between the components allows you to enjoy your outdoor experience without worrying about inclement weather affecting your setup.
